An eco-friendly hotel: Cabins by Eco Hotel Tagaytay

Traveling is one of our best bonding moments with my little kiddo. From finding great cafes, best photo-op locations, you name it all, we both love doing together. And what’s the best place to visit that is just a 2-hr drive from Manila is Tagaytay. Cabins by Eco Hotel is one of the best hotels to stay and to have that great view of Taal Lake and very convenient location where shopping malls, restaurant, and the Catholic Church is in close proximity.

This hotel is situated in front of Serin Mall, Tagaytay. With nightly rates of 2,500 to 3,500 PHP / 50 to 70 USD with free plated breakfast. Rates are a bit higher during peak season. What I love about Eco Hotel is that they are pet-friendly and right inside this small hotel you will see cute doggies and cats. And yes, you can bring your pets while having a great staycation here.

Immediately you will notice all the recycled materials used to make furniture and fixtures here. From tables to chairs and even handles on their stairs are all recycled wood. I love the home-feel in this hotel.

There is no lift, so if you are bringing luggage just as the staff to bring it to your room.

Room

What I don’t like about our room is that we can hear the cars and honks because our room was facing the street. But overall, I love our stay and they have few instagramable spots inside the hotel. The bed is comfy however, our room is good for a couple-traveler or solo traveler.

If you are staying here with a kid/kids, I suggest booking a larger room. There’s barely a space to walk.

Our standard room is pretty small, however, it was just ok since I was only staying with my kid. And during our stay in Tagaytay, we were outside going around the mall and some other tourist spots like Sky Ranch.

The bed is comfy and the sheets are clean. Our room has an a/c but we didn’t open it coz during our stay it was a bit cold in Tagaytay. We definitely had a good night’s sleep and Chichi keeps on telling me to go back here because of the dogs that she can play with at their lobby.

Breakfast is simple yet I liked their tapa and longganisa. We had our breakfast at the rooftop of the Eco Hotel where you get to see the Taal Lake.

I can’t wait to stay here again and will bring our parents with us besides, the hotel has a family room and their rates are affordable. Perfect for any couple traveler, solo or even family.
