A few weeks ago, I traveled to 5 South East Asian countries together with 4 other Travel Bloggers. It’s been my long plan to cross the border to this 5 countries – Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam.

Thailand is our 3rd country to visit in our 2-week SEA trip. We flew from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok, Thailand. Upon arriving at Don Muang we booked an UBER because we’re just lazy to take a train and ride a Tuktuk, we just want to relax at the hotel first and EAT. From the airport to our hotel – Dream Hotel Bangkok it cost us around 600 PHP / 12 USD. But because of we 3 in our group that time, we split our bill into 3 and we only paid 4 USD each (not bad!).
Here are my TOP 3 Hotel in Thailand:
1. Dream Hotel Bangkok
Our first hotel to stay in Bangkok is a luxurious hotel chain. We had a massive One-bedroom suite with a separate living room. dining area, bedroom, and huge bathroom with a bathtub and television inside our bathroom!
What I love most about our room is during night time, the bottom of our bed is illuminated in Blue led light and the whole room is just so romantic, but sadly I am not in a romantic getaway here because I am staying with 2 of my travel buddies/blogger friends in our room. We also had a scrumptious dinner on our first night in Bangkok and able to try authentic Thai dishes, yey!
The hotel also has a branch in Phuket, Miami, New York, California and soon they will open a branch outside Asia and another hotel in Asia. Our room costs 10,000 PHP / 200 USD per night with free buffet breakfast and access to hotel facilities like swimming pool and gym.

2. Adelphi 49 Hotel Bangkok
Another good choice when staying in Bangkok especially for several days and even weeks, I strongly suggest booking a room at Adelphi 49 – a condo/hotel located at 16 Soi Sukhumvit 49, Khlong Tan Nuea, Bangkok. Walking distance from the busy street of Sukhumvit and near the BTS.
We stayed in a One-Bedroom Suite for 130 USD / 6,500 PHP per night. Our room has a small living room with a small dining table good for 2 pax, a kitchenette, and a washing machine and iron. I adore our modern bathroom and toilet because everything is one touch! Toilet flush, washer, and even air blower is all one touch, so cool!
The hotel has its own restaurant that offers great food especially their breakfast, they have BACON! Yey!
3. Buri Siri Hotel Chiang Mai
After staying 3 days in Bangkok, we head to Chiang Mai and stayed for another 3 days. We stayed at Buri Siri Boutique Hotel located at 1 Sirimangkalajarn Rd, Suthep, Muang, 52000 Chiang Mai, Thailand.
I stayed solo in my Superior Twin Room that costs 75 USD / 3,750 per night with free buffet breakfast, free use of the pool. I like that the hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, less pollution outside the hotel but easy access to everything. There are a lot of restaurants and a spa that are just a few meters away from the hotel.
There’s a 7-11 beside the hotel and the spa is so cheap! Yep, we actually had our first authentic Thai massage for only 250 PHP / 5 USD for 1 hour. I’d say that this is the most relaxing trip we had since we started our trip in Singapore. Every night we’ll swim at the pool and I’ll have a hot soak in my bathtub right after.
I also like that their breakfast choices are my kind of meal, they have porridge, fruits, and BACON!!!

If you are on a tight budget and still want to sleep on a nice bed, an air-conditioned room and able to talk to fellow travelers then I strongly suggest Bodega Hostel. We stayed in a Superior 14-Bed mixed bedroom for 1 night before heading to Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Cost per night/per bed is only 600 PHP / 12 USD. Breakfast at their lobby/common are is available all day for a cheap price and beer is also cheap here. I had 1 Singha beer during their happy hour and I only paid 50 PHP / 1 USD for 1 bottle.
So there, you have a budget choice of accommodation to middle-range and a luxurious room option. If you are on a honeymoon I strongly suggest to get a nice and suite room but if you are traveling with friends and on a very tight budget the hostel is a good choice.
Happy traveling everyone!
