At an event in the south of Manila, a personal care products brand making an impression in the beauty and skincare sector in the Philippines reintroduced its star endorser Ms. Sofia Andres.
Sooper Beaute, founded by a mother of four who was weary of the 9-to-5 corporate grind, reintroduced Kapamilya actress Sofia Andres as its endorsement at the Azumi Boutique Hotel in Alabang, Muntinlupa, for the media premiere of its “Breakthrough and Bloom” campaign.
“Sofia has matured and really accepted parenthood,” stated Sooper Beaute creator and General Manager Jessica “Aica” Palma. “With a thriving job, continually increasing admirers, and a thriving side business, there’s no doubt that she is a woman of unlimited beauty!”
When she was only 16, the young actress was the first muse of Sooper Beaute. “We found it simple to make her our muse once more as we move to the New Sooper Beaute since Sofia has developed into a varied lady; aside from being an actress, she’s a mother, a painter, and a fashion inspiration,” Palma added. According to a Philippine business news website, “the company started up with seed capital of 18,000 pesos (USD360) in September 2013. The young founder (27 at the time) checked out Facebook and Instagram, discovered that there were a lot of online sellers offering whitening lotions and soaps, and they were doing very well—and immediately contacted these sellers and asked them if she could buy from them and rebrand the products.”
Palma noted that Sooper Beaute’s management opted, as an eight-year-old business, to transform its identity from vibrant and youthful to simple yet chic—targeting young professionals who grew up with the brand. This new branding strategy was conceived at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, when everyone’s lives were drastically altered. “Now that we’ve learned to live with these new changes,” the thirty-something mompreneur explained, “we’ve discovered new hobbies, new abilities, and a new attitude.” “My kapwa Filipinas, we’ve made a breakthrough, and we’re now ready to be the finest versions of ourselves. We blossom.”
